Bread Prosthetics I
Post-Cyberpunk Delftware

Bread is cut every day and never repaired. Here it gets a prosthetic anyway: a limb of glazed porcelain, fitted to the cut.
Both halves are made the same way, from ground earth, water and heat, yet they live on opposite clocks. One goes stale by evening; the other outlasts the people who made it. Drop both on a table, and only one can still be eaten.
Value and fragility, at their two extremes. Begun as virtual Delftware in 2021, the series now crosses into matter: a porcelain prosthetic for a real focaccia, for Oltremare at the Museo Diocesano, Genoa (2026).
